MINEX Asia 2026 — 12th Mining and Exploration Forum to Be Held in Ankara
The 12th edition of the MINEX Asia Forum, one of the leading mining gatherings in the Eurasian region held annually since 2010, will take place on 24–25 June 2026 at the Ankara Hilton. The forum will be hosted in Türkiye for the first time.

About the Forum

The MINEX Asia Forum was established to support the sustainable development of mineral resources across Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and neighboring regions, while promoting cross-border cooperation in geological exploration, mining, and metallurgy. The forum brings together representatives of public institutions, industry executives, investors, academics, engineering companies, and technology providers.

The previous edition, held in Tashkent in 2025, welcomed more than 400 delegates and over 70 speakers from more than 20 countries, including participants from Central Asia, Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Australia.

This year’s main theme is “Bridging Continents: Building a Resilient Mining Ecosystem Along the Middle Corridor.” The forum highlights Türkiye’s strategic position on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor) and its mineral resource potential, while addressing the integration of Eurasia’s inland mineral wealth into global supply chains.

One of the initiative’s major geographic focal points is the Tethyan Metallogenic Belt. Stretching from Europe to the Himalayas through Türkiye, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, this geological belt hosts significant reserves of copper, gold, lead-zinc, and critical metals.

The transformation of the Middle Corridor from a transit route into an integrated industrial belt

Critical raw materials and regional supply security

Midstream investments focused on refining and intermediate products (battery precursors, alloys) beyond raw ore exports

The regional impact of Western institutional capital and new investment sources from Gulf countries

Digital transformation in mining, geological data management, and technology applications

Sustainable mining practices within the framework of ESG criteria
