"3rd Gemology Workshop" Announcement

The workshop organized by the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Geological Engineers (TMMOB) aims to bring together academic and sectoral representatives in the field to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experience.

At the 3rd Gemology Workshop, the aim is to address the entire process from the formation of gemstones to their delivery to the consumer, to share experiences and research findings, to foster opportunities for national and international collaboration, and to propose solutions to common challenges.

• Gemology education and professional development
• Physical and optical identification
• Valuation and certification of diamonds and colored stones
• Identification of synthetic and imitation stones and the challenges they pose to the industry
• Archaeogemology
• Enhancement and treatment methods
• Jewelry production and marketing processes
